Thanksgiving in Niagara Falls

As a local, we are so grateful for this region we call home. From the changing leaves in the Fall to the picturesque hiking trails and all the fun in between, Niagara is truly an inspiring place to visit any season. We're a little biased but if you haven't been to Niagara during this time of year, Thanksgiving in Niagara Falls is a truly spectacular place to spend time with those you love.

Rather than rewriting what's already been written, check out this link for all the great places to hike in Niagara

Niagara does have some amazing trails. It's so hard to choose which trail is our favourite, as they are all so different. You'll just have to try them all.

This weekend take a break from the kitchen and the dishes. The Clifton Hill District is filled with lots of delicious dining options from Italian, Indian, comfort food classics like burgers and wings and our favourite, steak and seafood place, The Keg Steakhouse + Bar. There are so many classics, like the top sirloin or prime rib and the pistachio crusted salmon is right up there too. And for dessert, try our version of "pumpkin pie", the billy miner pie.

Many of the most popular attractions are still open for business.

Hornblower  - get one last sail in before next year. This is a thrilling boat ride, you don't want to pass up before the season closes on October 25th.

Whirlpool Jet Boats is still cruising along the Niagara River. Two great options to choose from: dry dome and the wet zone (for the full experience, we're privy to the latter)

WildPlay MistRider Ziplining - what better way to see panoramic views of the Great Niagara Gorge, American Falls and the mighty Canadian Horseshoe Falls than ziplining in the wind

Niagara Parks Attractions - from the Butterfly Conservatory to Journey Behind the Falls and the Whirlpool Aero Car, there's so much to do within the Niagara Parks. Purchase the Explorer Pass for the best deal.

Clifton Hill - just minutes from our hotel is the ever popular, kid-loving "street of fun" with so many fun-filled things to do: Niagara SkyWheel, Niagara Speedway, Dino or Wizard Golf, and Zombie Attack. Purchase the Clifton Hill Fun Pass, and save over $18 off of individual attractions

Neighbouring Cities and Towns (all within Niagara)

Niagara-on-the-Lake - so many wineries to explore. Here are a few that are at the top of our list. Plus, exploring the quaint main street is always a treat.

Twenty Valley - another hidden gem with some beautiful boutiques, restaurants and wineries. Check out the website, as this area is definitely one worth exploring

Town of Pelham - Pelham is another great little town with some amazing farms, conservation areas, restaurants, boutiques and hiking and biking trails.

And as always, the Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls is a central location, close to all of these beautiful experiences if you're looking to escape for a night or two. We have so much to be thankful for in Niagara and we hope you enjoy all of these hidden gems as much as we do. Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
