Fall is here (well sort of). The official day of Fall is September 23rd, but for some reason many of us feel like Fall is the day the kids go back to school. In Canada, this day just happened to be Tuesday, September 3rd <insert happy face, sad face>. It’s a bittersweet feeling. It’s sad to say good-bye to summer, but it’s pretty great to say hello to routine. For those with kids, it’s getting them back to a normal bedtime and for the parents it’s back to packing lunches (wah-wah).

At the Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls we’re big fans of welcoming new sports teams to our Niagara Falls hotel. This time of year is a great time to book your next Niagara Falls Tournament, whether it be for a Niagara Falls hockey tournament, basketball, volleyball, dance or another sport.  Our location is key, as we are just minutes from great restaurants, the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights and the Gale Centre (should you have a Gale Centre hockey tournament).

Those words seem to roll off the tongue quite nicely! Rosé All Day is happening all weekend at a few of our favourite Niagara Wineries. From a running event to casual sipping experiences, if you don't have anything on the agenda this weekend, your taste buds will definitely thank you! Niagara Wine Country is Turning Pink And in this case IT IS because of the wine. June 9th is International Rosé Day and what an action-packed day it will be if you have an all-inclusive touring pass.

Many people don't know this, but Niagara Falls is known for some great fishing! The Niagara River is in fact listed as one of the Top Ten Places to Go Fishing in Ontario! At 35 miles long, the Niagara River provides anglers with loads of great fishing spots. The area between the Devil’s Hole and the Niagara Bar offers great fishing for steelhead, salmon and sturgeon. In the lower area of the Niagara River, trout, walleye, bass and muskellunge can be readily caught.
